Questions about the portal
Is the Office Learning Portal really free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no sign-up, no payment and no download.
Do I need Microsoft Office installed?
No. The portal runs in your web browser. It is a practice simulation of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, not Microsoft software, so you can use it on any computer.
Is my progress saved?
Progress is saved in your own browser on the device you are using. It does not sync to other devices, and clearing your browser's site data resets it. We do not collect your work.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes, but a laptop or tablet is easier because the ribbons and grids are designed for a larger screen.
Will this replace a computer course?
No. The portal is a place to practise and look things up. If you want a trainer, a structured syllabus and a certificate, see our Basics of Computers course in Amritsar.
Want a trainer beside you?
Practising is the start. In our classroom and live online courses in Amritsar you learn Office tools with a trainer, projects and a Course Completion Certificate.
