Ethical Hacking Tools You Will Learn: Kali Linux, Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite and Metasploit
Security is learned by doing. You work with the same tools that security teams use, but only inside labs we set up for practice.
| Tool or skill | What you use it for | Covered in |
|---|---|---|
| Linux and Bash | Working at the command line, permissions and small automation scripts | Networking and Linux |
| Python | Scripts for sockets, log analysis and security automation | Python |
| Wireshark | Capturing and reading network packets | Python |
| Nmap | Authorized network scanning | Python and ethical hacking |
| Burp Suite | Authorized web application testing | Web application security |
| Kali Linux | Penetration testing in isolated labs | Ethical hacking |
| Metasploit | Exploitation fundamentals in isolated labs | Ethical hacking |
| SIEM basics and log management | Monitoring, detecting threats and responding to incidents | SOC |
Is Ethical Hacking Legal? The Rules of Our Labs
Yes, when you have permission to test the system. Breaking into a system without permission is a crime. In this course you practise on isolated lab machines and learn how to define legal scope, get written permission and document your findings before any test begins.
Who Can Join This Cyber Security Course
The syllabus is written for B.Tech CSE and IT students, so it starts with networking and Linux and moves steadily toward testing and defence. Graduates and working IT professionals can join too.
What you should already know
Basic computer skills and comfort with programming ideas are enough to start. We begin with networking and Linux, so you do not need to know security already. If you are new to programming, our Python course is a good way to prepare, and the MERN stack course helps if you want web development basics before web security.

Cyber Security Jobs and Career Options After the Course
This course trains the skills behind several entry-level security roles. It does not promise a job, but it gives you work and knowledge to show an employer.
SOC analyst and security analyst
Monitoring logs, detecting threats and responding to incidents, which is the focus of the SOC, SIEM and incident response topics.
Junior penetration tester
Scanning networks, assessing vulnerabilities, testing web applications and writing the test report, which you practise in the web security and ethical hacking modules.
Security work in IT and software teams
System hardening, fixing vulnerabilities and writing security reports, so that the systems a company builds are safer.
Your capstone project and portfolio
The course ends with a capstone project and technical interview preparation. Along the way you build Python scripts for log analysis, packet captures from Wireshark, scan results from authorized Nmap runs and security reports.
Why Choose Webcooks for Cyber Security Training
